As there are currently 43 reads on this thread, I would hope that one of them would had to have been from the MMG group. As such, if there is no plan to answer my questions, or research is being done such that an answer can be formulated, please be so kind as to comment in the thread so I know whether to continue visiting this forum for a response. d**n it is not like we have time to answer all of these questions. We work, we release stuff, we don't want to deal with 10 000 people asking questions like this. Kay is our new physics engineer, and he is really busy ATM with V1.1 and is rarely on. Phil

All i can say is Buzzzzzz, wrong anwser my friend!
Hi. I am sorry, but this is a bad awnser my friend. We support your mod and dont complaint about it, but BUG exist in with your physic, and the post that you deleted was done by an Real race engeneer since 15 years, and he was curious to have awnser back to maybe give you some feedback to help you guys out. I think that you showend a little lack of professionnalism. Busy or not, if you dont want any help, what do you expect from us, user making your mod popular and user that respect your many hours of work.
About setuping the car for race, i was going to post in private, but yur anwser made me mad, i qualif our 1st race of season with a last minutes change on my setup, and the setup i used is completely not realistic, the car should of been undrivable, at least in all other mod it is, and i was close on 1:25.1 at australia while our fastest driver in league were in 1:24 high. I didnt say nothing waiting to contact you in private, but if you still want to have my setup and see if its normal or you have problem on your physic setting, let me know.
But after your awnser, do we still want to help you out? Only you have the awnser...

Thanks to the both of you for your support and for the acknowledgement of my work both here and professionally. My hopes are that this will remain up long enough for a few to read it.
I had originally commented, in response to Phil’s words, with a rather direct response. And though I do not regret complementing there MOD teams work in capturing the excitement of F1 racing as well as the belligerent attitude of it’s management group, I decided to delete it along with my questions.
I SIM race because it helps me to escape from the stress of my real job. Also, I feel that my experience can be a benefit to groups like this in creating a platform rich with accuracy and as such, increase the depth of the experience. And as so few ever have the chance to get paid to set up a race car, I feel a bit like giving back because I learned an awful lot about racing through my hobby, long before I went to the paddock for the first time. This said, it is obvious to me now why so many of my colleagues view SIM enthusiast with the contempt they do.
Had Phil knew ahead of time my work, he may have responded differently rather than to bite the hand that was trying to feed him? Surely my experience would make me a bit different from the 10,000 other users who apparently understand dynamics well enough to ask the same questions I did. Perhaps, if not too much to ask, Phil could forward those names on to me because good race engineers (even with the fall of Champ Car) are hard to come by.
What makes this very sad is that this thread gave a glimpse as to how MMG chooses to respond to the average user who is just trying to help. This is why, in a nutshell, that I never-ever tell people what I do when making a public post. I want to see, as best as possible, the people behind the work before I inadvertently spend time helping some indignant. And though I am not upset at my friend for letting the cat out of the bag, you can rest assured that I will continue to hold to this policy.
My final thought is this Phil. Without us, the average user, your work would be meaningless but to yourselves. And if that is enough for you, I feel sorry for the emptiness that you must carry with you. Do yourself a favor and apologize, not to me, but to the 9, 999 other people who may still want to help you.

Oups, i wrote up that i did 1:25, that was an official time, i was able to PB in 1:24.3, and some driver in our Euro division did official qualif time in the 1:23.low. I got tap on fingher by those who pace those fast time Sorry for letting the cat out of bag, but anyway im shure that MMG is realy busy and is in a rush of bugs and alot of stuff. I also sorry, i tought that it was MMG that deleted the original post, and no it wat imonedge himself. Phil, if your still interested, i would like to talk about a setting that i made and i think it is completely non logical, but it will be to you to say if im right or not, but no need to do it in public, PM (Private Mail) can do the work, i can also provide you my personal mail if needed. Thank you.

Man you people are sad. LOL
I don't have time to sit here, read 100 proposals, and offers. Add people to msn to talk for a few hours about their proposals, Let alone people with 100 little things. You can try asking other members in MMG.
Remember I don't get paid here. IT is not my job. I have a life too you know? And yes I am quite busy with a ton of other stuff.
Hopefully people post their problems on here, get answers by other community members. I highly doubt anyone from MMG will come on here and read all the problems and help everyone. Some may do it occusionaly.
All i can do is offer my best, and right now my best is fullfilled. I cannot help everyone. I am sorry.

another dude on msn today asked me this
How come me and another guy with the same setup... don't go the same time. He is faster then me and i am slower. We both are same skilled drivers. With the same setup we should go the same times.
There is something wrong with the physics.
How do people think i should respond to that? Questions like that is a complete waste of my time. We ended up debating for 30 min

the original post on this board yes was legit but he was demanding answers from MMG.
It is not my job to be answering questions all day. Maybe ask yanden or someone else. They all rarely come on here. Relaxed a bit more.

Another dumb question in my private message box which I'll just ignore.
Hi
This question may be stupid... but how do you make mods for rFactor? From scratch I mean. I have models in .3ds format. I have liveries for it in .bmp format. What do I need to do (step-by-step) to get it fully driveable in rFactor?
Help is very appreciated!
Greets Loetkoe
cough like i have time to explain steps 1 - 1000.
Surely some of you guys can understand how fruserated i have been lately. I feel like im dealing with everyone here, and everyone else on MMG has gone into hiding. It is not my job to do technical support, but I would try every now and then.

If you want to help, Say hi MMG team, I am interested in joining your team and helping out with the physics. I am a professional race driver, and I can do physics.... Thanks That would of sounded simpler for me. I didn't read your whole comment cause it was like 2 pages long. I read the first paragraph and god. Not soo easy to understand. If i have offended you in anyway I am sorry, but don't post a storyboard, and expect MMG members to read it. (your original post i guess you deleted it.) You should of left it. Phil

Hello I know and see that you are the only one from MMG (That I can see) answering questions. And you have a lot on your shoulders. IE very busy But although a couple of those question are as you say stupid is it right that you line them up with legit questions. I think not but again as you say I am Sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
What is sad is that MMG (Who you say are a member of) is not helping you here. As far as I know this is the MMG Forum as they do not have another web page or public forum else where. So this drops everything in your lap and on your shoulders. Not fair but it is true. With this it and because there are no other MMG members helping or answering stupid questions. It falls on you or any others Users or the rare tester to help.
I/We understand you are very busy with us sad people LOL but do you really think that as the mod gets more use and the next versions come out that it will be easier. I some how think that you will get more stupid questions.
I would think that the boss of MMG would assign people or find you some help. It might be a good Idea to add sub forums such as a physics place and ask say Kay (The MMG physics moder) to moderate it.
well anyway this post might be long so I will close

I don't mean everyone is dumb. THat is not what im saying. But anyway, I do get a lot of dumb questions.
But yeah... I try my best on here, and that is all i can offer. I do have a job (8hrs a day), then hit the gym (1hr plus traveling), then do stuff for ISI (yes I am a part of ISI, dont be asking me about rfactor2), then I do want to work on MMG & My OF1L league (of1l.com site, whichi run). Finally theres F1mods.com site which i love to update on a regularly bases. (not a lot of time to follow the forums technical support but ill start trying more)
So there that leaves me not a lot of free time in my day. I am typing here right now during my lunch break ;D ;D. I get so stressed out sometimes, that I go nutz, and perhaps say things That i don't mean. I also like to enjoy my xbox360 and PS3 lol, so i get the urge to play that when i get home from work.
IM sick of working so much lately. (need a vacation soon)
Anyway yeah I try my best each and everyday to do stuff for this community. Hope everyone has a bit more of a understanding of where i am coming from.
Thanks mates Phil Sousa

Yes, let's all be a bit more comprehensive... Me, I'm just one of the many mentioned above and a fan of rFactor since its beginning - as I think it's still the best F1 platform available for PC gamers - and of the MMG mod group - which is, in my modest opinion, the best F1 PC game group currently around, also trying to constantly upgrade as well as supporting open dialogue in this forum. Other mod groups, although good (as CTDP) do not do it. It's true that Phil Sousa, whom I am a "reader" since FSONE days, sometimes goes a little bit..."excessive" but no use perhaps to take it so personal as some people do... Each of us can have bad days but admittedly Phil has offered a lot of his time and talent to make MMG and this forum a success story. Let's not forget it. Yes, sometimes misunderstanding and mistakes can happen, we're all human, and, apologies done, let's move on and keep focus on the essential, on why thousands of people came visiting here and enjoying "PC racing". Maybe Phil just need some rest and maybe he just cannot answer in all posts for a while so to.....concentrate on real issues such as early MMG 2.0 release ;D ;D ;D Oh yes, it's hard to wait And, IMONEDGE, we are lucky to have the chance of having an expert as you, sharing your knowledge. And as you do this, ultimately, for the benefit of the 10.000 fans of this game, as you rightly said, why can't you please consider sharing a bit more of your advise on how to better setup F1 cars in this mod with all of us. There's not only Phil in this world (with all due respect)! It will be great if experts as Imonedge could help improving this game. I mean, there are guys that do contribute greatly to the Community, thanks to their skills and committment, to offer valuable advise or addons. I think, for ex., at MS7 or CarloMaker (Spotter Plugin) or Diniz (TV Style) etc etc. Obviously, everyone can use or not, appreciate it or or not (that's not the point here) but they do freely contribute with their tech advise & skills (...lucky them to have it) for the community. So I am sure, Imondedge, that many users (..as me) will appreciate to have the benefit of your advise & skills as well. Frankly, this game is already a niche one, within the PC gaming industry, that if we do not help each other, we'll all risk ending up worst off, with fewer choices and innovations. Thanks for re-considering it, Imonedge, as I feel you're a wise man. Signed: an average user with NO personal interest in MMG or any other such group, other than for wish of relax (strangely enough, game racing distresses me...) and play (even at my age..) when I've got some free time. That's all. Cheers
