I uninstalled my modem's software but it doesn't solve the problem. I use a router, but when I am not log in to a web site, game does not start too.

Hello What kind of Router is it I know to host a server you have to forward certain ports in a router. but maybe your router is blocking the ports Rfactor needs so you might want to check that out. This page here might help you on what you need to do on your router. www.portforward.com/dlink/DGL-4100-portrangeforwarding.htmThe ports that RF needs accsess to are TCP port = 34447, 34384 UDP ports = 34397, 34297 Hitman

You say ports are for online gaming, yes it is right but my friend says me that when we try to enter the game, rFactor controls our game if it is original or not. Is it possible?
I had opened these ports for XP's firewall before. Do I have to open these ports for my router too?
I opened these ports for my router too, but it did not solve my problem.

Hello Yes most if not all routers have there own fire wall in them so yes these ports have to be open in the router also. But as said this is mostly for online gaming I can swear that it will help your situation but it is worth a try.
I just have never heard of this problem so it is hard to tell you what is wrong. I am really just guessing and doing trial and error.

Yes, as I said it before, I opened my ports for both XP's firewall and router.
As you said, there is nobody who suffers from same problem. I started to think that it is about my XP Service Pack 2. But most people use XP Service Pack 2.
Thank you for your answers. You are very helpful.

Hello Sorry I can not think of what it could be. There is something on your system that is blocking screwing up RFactor.
I would think it is a hardware problem not software. But I am stumped :-(
Also if you changed your hardware and software and did not back up your trymedia folder you will have to reinstall and use your key code to get it to run again.
Also have you tried going to your RF folder and clicking on the RF exe there and see if it works.
You do know that if someone just gave you a copy of of there system it will not work on yours. Because the comps are of different configs and that is how ISI protects it self.

So I reactivated my game by using my activation code.

My graphic card is Sapphire X1950GT 256 MB DDR3 PCI. I use the latest version of its driver. Also I tried with other older drivers. But this problem still continues.
I do not have the same problem with other games or programs. I play F1 Challenge but there is no problem with it.
My mainboard is Gigabyte P35C-DS3R. Can this problem happen occur because of it or its software drivers?

Hello Well with F1 Challenge working Even thow RFactor requires a little more system to run good. I would not think it is your hardware problem knowing that F1 C is working.
Have you tried going to your Rf config folder Located in your RF folder Make sure your Graphic card is there and change you dx and try that.

I have tried all different configrations such as DX 9, DX8, DX7. Also my graphic card is shown at rFactor config.
I am doubtful of this problem can occur because of my mainboard's drivers. Can it be?

I have tried a new advice:
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.
3. On the General tab under the Temporary Internet Files section click Delete Files. On the dialogue box, check Delete all offline content, and then click OK.
4. On the Privacy tab, move the slider to Medium and then click Apply.
5. On the Security tab, click Trusted sites then click Sites.
6. Uncheck the “Require server verification” box.
7. In the “Add this Web site…” box type or paste:
fe.trymedia.com
Click Add. Once the entry has been added, click Close.
8. On the Privacy tab, move the slider to Medium and then click Apply.
9. Click OK and then exit Internet Explorer.
I am controlling this advice now. I will tell you about news.
