Yeah, they look like 3D and the textures are very good. Am I right that those are maybe 3D treads? Not sure tough but looks like it a little bit?

They are using a different bump map method, hence the effect.....

Yeah, but ctdp has an advantage....scratch made cars...loads of details, but still, fsone is right up there, we just have to wait and see, and compare. Wright now, fsone has the upper hand, because in the first place, it will be released before ctdp, after both are released, than we should compare. The only advantage ctdp has is the scratch made cars, because we don't know nothin about psyhics and so on, because there is no info. But there will be soon. What is the advantage that CTDP is making cars from scratch and FSOne not I don't see the problem

no one will play 2006 in 2008!!! That's wrong m8 ! From my side, I will only use 2006 mod because it was Michael Schumacher's last year in F1...

those tyres are all wrong, ive always said it. Yeh the shape is nice but why do they look as if they have already done a full grand prix. Tyres should be very smooth at start of race.

Blame Rfactor. They should have the ability where at the start of the race the tyre is smooth, and when its worn out, the tyres get worned.
Simple as that.

Yes they are smooth before the race, but you can imagine that they are not taken brand new from the pack, but there has been already driven a few laps with them. And I think I rather see worn out tyres because you drive more in rFactor than stand still so it's realistic for most of the time, unless you just watch the cars and don't drive at all, you don't do that don't you?

yeah, agree with you mate, but it would've been nice if a feature like in the ps2 games (dunno about the ps3 one) there is a feature wich the tyre gets worn out, and you can see it distroing in several stages...but, i like the tyres that ctdp use now!!!
