The Woking team, who faced the World Motor Sport Council for the second time in Paris today after new evidence came to light, were found guilty of using Ferrari's information in this year's Championship. And the punishment is their exclusion from this year and next year's World Championships. orange.planet-f1.com/News/Story_Page/0,16072,3213_2726626,00.html

Clarification: WMSC yet to decide on verdict
By Steve Cooper Thursday, September 13th 2007, 15:09 GMT
The World Motor Sport Council has yet to agree on a final verdict, despite our earlier newsflash suggesting otherwise.
Sources have told autosport.com one of the options currently reviewed is to exclude McLaren from both the 2007 and 2008 championship - in line with the World Motor Sport Council's decision in July.
However the FIA said no decision has yet been made, although a verdict is expected imminently.

They are just the drivers and when Mclaren build the car based on the ferrari they could beat ferrari in theire own car as they do in the moment.

theres a clause in alonsos and lewis contract(unfortunatelly) that they have nothing to do with team's actions....so they don't get pen, only mclaren....atleast a 170 mil $ hole in the budget (100 mil $ pen and 70$ dolars for eventual championship win) will have its effects....
And launching the car way before other team the mp4/23 (2008) mclaren will have its effects too lol

Yup. Because the drivers drive the "cheated" cars. So the points are won by cheats. Therefore... strip the drivers' points too I'd say!
And umm... I've heard that someone sabotage the ferrari cars at the Monaca GP. Someone droped something into the ferraris fuel tank... is this true?

yep....thats true that stephiny put a pin or something into rakonnens or massas fuel tank for monaco. And also Stephney told Coughlin that raikonnen was pitting on lap 18 for australia. not that it made a difference in the end cos ferrari were head and shoulders ahead of mclaren. also alonsa and dela rosa were talking to eachother and alonso said that mclaren should test out how or what sort of air they (ferrari) used to put psi into there tires. also mclaren had tested the sort od brakes that ferrari had. so in that case how can mr ron dennis say now. anyhow. theres another clue. in that spanish gp why would mclaren try and use the sort of wing as ferrari?

atleast mclaren should have a crappy car for 2008. Bernie Echelstone said " Now since McLaren have had this penalty trhe sport will be more open next year. "
