I am hated it if i want to do a nother lap and there is no time left for it because we have to press ESC after 15min's. i have bin on place 9 when top 8 are going to q2 or i have bin on 11th when the top 10 can go to q2, and havent set a good time because of traffic or something, so i want a little more time after the 15min's
phil i hope you can make a test session of 15min and we can finnish our laps after the 15min's.

ppls should finish the lap in both Q1 and Q2...noone should talk until its absolutely over(cause its very disturbing us on our final Q laps)...i didnt have problems in Q1 with that thing yet but i know its annyoying for others that are not so quick and fighting for top 10(or other place...doesent matter), we all know when Q is finished(after everybody end his lap, no metter if its already 00:00)...like it is in real... The best Ideea is to reduce the practice time to 15 minutes like the quali, and people can finish their lap times, because is the same in real life and it's the obious thing to do. A problem would be that there are 2 minutes left and you are on a flying lap, and you have traffic problems so you can't set a fast lap, and if you want to go back to pits, with 2 minutes left you can't do another fast lap if the laps can not be finished after the 15 minutes are up....so i think this is the wright thing. And the traffic problem i said, is that when you start a flyer, maybe a guy exits the pitlane infront of you and he can ruin your lap, because every tenth if not hunderth and thousandth of a second counts. Oh and i agree, no-one should talk during qualifing, no matter what session, even if it's q1 or q2 and not even say how much time is left, because either you have tv-style dispaly installed or you can navigate on the rfactor menu...because the dialog box in the left really is disturbing and annoying....so please phil, listen to the voice of the people

there is no way to tell whose eligible to finish their laps in session one.
It is way to difficult to keep track of these things and guys will complain and say i passed the line before the time expired. Or I could end up missing someone and they end up cheating and passing someone.
Think about all the problems that could arise ? Just think about it. What if 5 cars were coming around and the timer is less then 5 sec and they all pass the finish line around 0-1 seconds? I can't Control something like that.
I would need 10 admins to watch each car.
I will use jose as an example.
Say Jose comes around and the timer hits 0.2 seconds left and he just about pass the finish line.
He will think Ohh I'm going to finish my lap. I will say nooo you didn't pass it.
Then a big debate / Fight comes out.
It is too hard to judge it and there is no way to program the automated feature that is currently in Session 3.
Therefore once the 15 min is up I pass the session right away. Makes things easier.
If you guys want, we could make the first session 20 min. That is something I'll consider, since there is a lot of cars on grid for a 15 min session.

well, i am thinking to reduce the practice time from 45 minutes or how much is now, to 15 only, so you don't have to keep track who passes at 0.2 seconds and so on, because rfactor does that automaticly......that's my ideea...it can be done very easy........

i though in practise session server dont whait till everyone finish their laps like in qualy. a few secs after the end of session (15 minutes in our case) it goes directly to next session, so you have the same problem than..
i might be wrong, but at least this is what i noticed in few other servers

Q1 really should be 20min. In both two races my last flying lap has been ruined by somebody who is slower than me. If there was five extra minutes, I could make the gap to 10 seconds or something and then do the flying lap.
15 mins with finishing laps or simply just 20 mins. I don't care which one, but we should pick up either of these two choices.
