Can we make some kind of official rule to avoid cutting?
I mean i just did a few laps tonight on new canada map and i noticed u can take last chicane on 2 different ways: 4 wheels on curb and 2 wheels on curb. Differense in time were almost like 0,5 sec!!:S So with 4 wheels on curb it is lot faster. But the thing is that the difference between 4 wheels on curb and cutting is very hard to see, and also to drive, because u dont know how far u are allowed to go, if u want you can go almost straigt through that chicane and win like 1 second a lap:S
In other leagues, and almost all public servers, there is the rule that always 2 wheels has to be on track. Rule works fine, and its more easy to check for admin if people are cutting.
I propose to make same rule in of1l to, officialy, which counts for every track.
How are u guys think about that?

yes that would be good...but sometimes you make a misstake and cut chicane...so yeah that is difficuld to control...even we if get someone its almost imposible to prove that he was cutting cause he wanted to be faster...i think the only way is that Phil gives those anti-cutting kerbs on that chicane i think EDIT: meybe we can set the rule like that: if someone cuts chicane(4wheels on curb) he must drive slow for a few seconds...if that is the only way i can watch after race if everyone did like that(if he didnt, ofcourse appropriate penalty like no qualy for next race...but we must info everyone about that rule for Canadian GP

yeah nice idea in my opinion, if someone cuts chicane not on purpose, he will notice. Than he has to slow down to not have a good laptime anymore, than he would not be punnished. And yeah everyone has to know about it before the race of canada.

yeah ok but if that rule is official, than at least it is not clear for all people! i talked to some guys from of1l about this and some thinks they can use the whole curb, no matter if u have 4 wheels on it! And some others think only 2 wheels on curb are allowed.
For me this is all about clearness. I mean its not fair against people who think they are following a rule and are like 1 sec slower and others win 1 sec each lap just because they think the rule isnt there or is different. So i dont care which rule there is, i just want that all people follow 1 and same rule.
If u guys want that its allowed to have 4 wheels on curb, than im ok whit it to, its just little harder to see difference between that and cutting, but im okay with that to

In qualy, this should be watched very carefully. It's simple. If you cut, you have to slow down. In the race it's maybe not that big deal, but Phil should keep on eye on some people if they're really fast in last sector and check few laps of them. Sometimes you simply have to cut, if you brake too late. But I hope people will slow down after it.
About the rule, personally I prefer this 2 wheel on the track. But if we're using the another rule, I'm ok with it. Everybody just needs to follow the same rules.

yeah indeed, maybe everyone could say here which he prevers,
- 2 wheels on track always in every track, or - u may use the whole curb, so in canada on last chicane 4 wheels on curb is allowed (but not going over it.. even not with 1 or 2 wheels)

I support this one:
2 wheels on track always in every track

Can somebody do some modification on the track so it would be impossible to cut? Some logs or very high concrete or something.

Can somebody do some modification on the track so it would be impossible to cut? Some logs or very high concrete or something. Good General Rule of Thumb. Soon as both front tires or both rear tires hit off track i consider it to be a problem. Phil
