Hi FSONE team,
I've just checked the status of the 2007 mod on your home page and as I can see you still have a lot of work to achieve! Anyway would it be possible for you to release already a RPM corrective patch for the v1.52 to remove the 19.000 RPM limit ? The rest of the physics is just G.R.E.A.T. !!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd really appreciate that release now instead of waiting after the release of the 2007 mod...
Thank you for reading me,
Olivier Prenten

I agree with Prenthouse. You'd just have to remake motor.ini and marchas.ini, I don't think it would be much time expensive...If you can, we'd appreciate your efforts in respecting what alexv suggested in one of his post on the topic "How to remove the 19000 RPM limit", about the HP and Torque curve that intersect at 5250 RPM...(Phil knows what I'm talking about). It was such a smart post!
Hope you'll give us this little, last patch within few days... thank you in advance!
Zanna

It was such a smart post! Hope you'll give us this little, last patch within few days... thank you in advance! Zanna LOL I actually went nuts and plotted the HP and Torque on a graph in Excel using the correct formula, and it came to different numbers then the rFactor Engine data editor. When using Ft Lbs for torque figures the HP and Torque curve sure enough crossed at 5252rpm. What I found was what I thought. Its just because I am in the states that I am not used to seeing torque measured in N-M. This is the HP/Torque curve as seen in the rFactor Engine Editor. This is an Excel graph using the formula to determine Torque from HP and RPM, using Torque in N-M and converting it to Ft LBS in order to apply the formula. You can see that HP and TQ Cross at roughly 7200rpm just as in the Engine Editor. This is an Excel graph using the formula to calculate HP from Torque shown in Ft LBS. And just as I expected the HP and Torque cross at 5252RPM. Conclusion, simply my mistake not seeing past the units being used. I feel like a typical American stereotype, not understanding Metric units. Im sorry guys. The HP numbers are almost dead on, they are off by no more then .1 or .2HP. I just made the mistake, thinking that Torque was displayed in Ft-Lbs not, N-M. The engine physics builders did a great job!

Thanks PHIL for posting the remedy, once ready.
ALEXV, some confusion and a mistake is human, so do not worry. And your clear explanation with graphs is appreciated.

What our physics department have been up to
TeamFerrari (Derek Nye) has been working over-time hours on the new custom physics per team base.
This past week, he did all new Suspension system for Toyota. It is less bouncy now, and the tyres are in correct positions. Car feels much nicer to handel.
Each team will have its own suspension system, own engine, own aero system (Drag difference).
there will be a server edition for both 06/07.
So what i have i been doing.
I have started putting together new maps for the map pack. Looking into AI Performances, and I want to finally satisfy everyone with the new SINGLE PLAYER MODE / FIXED AI and better bahaviors.

Thank you for your hard work on it, Phil. How do I set the gear in the HDV file to obtain a seamless gear? I don't know the exact timings for it tho shift up and down, and the settings for UpshiftLiftThrottle or DownShiftBlipThrottle. I'm trying to get a custom seamless gear for FSONE 2006, of course. Could you please be so gentle and help me? Thanks so much

Phil,
thanks for offering 06(update)+07 in ONE PACKAGED download so to avoid confusion... Personally I don't mind waiting if the final result is one neat (and tested) quality package.
Keep it up with this great mod (and be confident on support for your rFactor HoF).
