Not a very bad qualification for both of the mclarens today. We expected to be in the top 5 and here we are.
Our setup is very consistent and our team has worked hard toward this race setup.
In terms of my performance, rather quite pleasing to in the top 5. My car was very stable, but i have made few critical errors in the final qualification session, spinning my car into the wall. Thankfully the damage was only minor toward suspensions, forcing me to deal with a slight aero force problem. Overall we're quite happy were we stand.

Pretty good qualification for me ! i was expect time under 1.24 but i did few mistakes in my fast lap and lost maybe second place for that ?! but after all third place is not bad way to start season .

Overall it have been a good session for Scuderia Toro Rosso. With me and my teamate finishing 13th and 15th on the grid. As you know we done over 500 laps together and did a practice race, so we prepaired for the season ahead.
Our aim for the race is to take it easy and bring both the cars home, and if we are lucky gain a few points.

It was indeed a good qualifying session for both Toro Rosso. I knew that I easily could run for a ยด28 so it was a little dissappointment for me but before doing that lap I spun my car, and I hap problems with traffic as the track was crowded with cars going very very fast; anyway, I did my lap and saw that the next car was more than 1.5 seconds faster than me in '27 low so, I decided to take it easy and see the session as a "mini-victory" as we qualified high 14th-16th
We are well prepared for the race, the car is estable, the tyres consistent and the engine runs very well. We know that Melbourne is a hard circuit and a mistake leads you to a crash for sure, so we will try to be in our race pace but only forcing in the high moments of the race, as it will be difficult to finish the race for everyone.

Hi.. t'was a very good qualy session, i tried to get first 8 places and made it.. but what ihad problems was to get the race times faster... first i had 6th place.. but then in final qualy i had 8th place.. but i like it, im going to try to not hit anyone and to be preventive of any accident in race. See you on race

A good performance in the quali and I was quite surprised to be 2nd after Raul. I was even hoping for pole as I stood on first place after my last lap, but knew deep inside that Raul would take pole as he was the fastest in practice all the time. Congrats Raul!
I was surprised though that I was so close to Raul, only 3 tenths of a second. But it could be Raul had some trafic or made some small mistake. Nonetheless I will keep my hopes up for victory next week.

for me it was the biggest shame ever, I spinned in my fast lap so that's why my lap was so bad, my wheel is broken so i must play with a gamepad that was very weird for me but I hope i have fast an another wheel and then I can fight for the championship
