just wondering if there is an alternative to the ISI track, or if not, is it possible to flatten it (the Nurburgring) out at all by changing something in the files?
The problem is that there are a couple of corners that are absolutely horrible with the ISI version and I have actually managed to flip the car on a couple of occasions whilst either on the racing line or by simply riding the curb a little. The only way that I seem able to get through unscathed is by dropping my speed so low through the said turns that I lose massive amounts of time. I've tried messing around with ride height etc. but to no effect. Any help?

I think they are fine with a normal ride height. Just learn what curbs you can touch and which curbs kick off. The ring is hard to go quick at on that last chicane.
Are you that much slower than others online? What is your time around the ring fsone06 v1.3? I got down to 1:29 with a ok setup and a few laps and saw lots of people around 1:32

I did the Nurburgring in 1.30.127 today, and I would have been under 1.30 if it wasn't for my mistake at the hairpin which cost me around 0.2s. I can give you the setup or even better I'll upload it to rfactorcentral.
Regards,
Ramon
