not bad...but can you make it black on the top and narrower...i mean the view a little narrower...other than that, looks pretty good
isn't the 2007_VISOR.tga black at the top ?

rFactor Helmet cam by:

I start by editing my cockpit cam view to:
LocalCam=COCKPIT
{
Fov=(72.000000, 72.000000)
Clear=TRUE
Color=(164, 218, 249)
ClipPlanes=(0.0225000, 500.000000)
LODMultiplier=(1.000000)
MipmapLODBias=(0.000000)
Size=(1.000000, 1.000000)
Center=(0.500000, 0.500000)
Flags1=(0)
Flags2=(0)
RadiusLimits=(0.000000, 0.000000)
OrientationRate=(999.000000, 999.000000, 999.000000) // Low numbers cause jitter when you're spinning
PositionOffset=(0.000000, 0.02400, 0.10) \\(+Left-Right, +Up-Down, +Back,-Forward)
OrientationOffset=(-0.030000, 0.000000, 0.000000) //(+Up-Down, +Left-Right, Roll: +Left-Right)
Radius=(0.000000)
}
next, you need to change your vehicle's .gen file from:
Instance=COCKPIT
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=cockpit.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(1.5) ShadowReceiver=True
<BRAZOSEXISTS>MeshFile=<Brazos> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(6.0) ShadowReceiver=True
<PILOTOEXISTS>MeshFile=<Piloto> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(6.0) ShadowReceiver=True
}
to
Instance=COCKPIT
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=cockpit.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(1.5) ShadowReceiver=True
MeshFile=HELM.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(1.5) ShadowReceiver=True
<BRAZOSEXISTS>MeshFile=<Brazos> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(6.0) ShadowReceiver=True
<PILOTOEXISTS>MeshFile=<Piloto> CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(6.0) ShadowReceiver=True
}
next, drop the files into your vehicle's folder
ex: C:\Program files\rfactor\GameData\Vehicles\FSONE\ProF1tr\Equipos\Ferrari
when you start the game you will need to FURTHER adjust your cockpit view to suit your taste [how much of the inside of the helmet you see]
you will also need to "lower" the amount of "Head Movement" in yourplayername.PLR file
[ found in the C:\Program Files\rfactor\UserData\YourPlayerName folder]
I use this:
Head Physics="0.10000" // Fraction of head physics movement applied to cockpit view (position AND rotation)
for reference, I also use these settings, also found in your .PLR file:
Seat Adjustment Aft="-0.01582"
Seat Adjustment Up="-0.01465"
Mirror Adjustment Vertical="-0.05000" [lets you see cars behind you / next to you by adjusting the vertcal aspect of your cockpit mirrors]
Cockpit Vibration Mult1="0.50000" // Primary vibration multiplier affects eyepoint position (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file)
Cockpit Vibration Freq1="15.00000" // Primary rate of vibration affects eyepoint position (higher framerates allow higher rates)
Cockpit Vibration Mult2="0.50000" // Secondary vibration multiplier affects eyepoint orientation (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file)
Cockpit Vibration Freq2="15.00000" // Secondary rate of vibration affects eyepoint orientation
if you drive a Ferrari, use the Ferrari_2007_Visor.tga instead [renamed to 2007_Visor.tga]
