Good intro, other stuff doesn't present so good. Demo MMG 2007 is better. No other mod will compete with MMG/CTDP as they are a long serving modding team and the quality/time and eye for detail is imense so will always be ontop. But its nice to see passionate f1 fans bringing out uptodate mods which is hard to get out in such quick time with f1 as we know how fast things change in the sport. I just hope MMG bring out some 08 skins with there expansion pack as an extra goodie, as most 07 cars are very alike to 08 and would be nice

Well i know for a fact that all these people that love playing uptodate mods will greatly appreciate it which is most the the f1 community But as you say, other ppl might make skins and maybe we (prof1tr) might make a skinpack again even tho spectryym is working for mmg now

Whats the point in making 2008 skins for the 2007 cars when we can just play F1RFT and have 2008 models?

Personally, I believe that MMG and F1RFT will be miles apart in quality of physics, AI behavior and etc with MMG being superior. The only thing F1RFT has going for it is 2008 cars, which is still a big deal seeing as most of us want to drive the current cars that we see racing today. I think that having 2008 skins and drivers on MMG's 2007 cars is the best thing to have right now. It would be the best of both worlds and would make one hell of a mod.

Whats the point in making 2008 skins for the 2007 cars when we can just play F1RFT and have 2008 models? Because the quality of the models and other features from mmg will be unbeatable and the car shapes are really similar from 07. Not alot of big changes this season for some reason apart from the higher head protection.

Actually the 08 cars have quite a lot of changes in areas not openly noticeable, but when attempting to model, you can really see the differences as we have found with the 2008 cars. Skin painters have already come forward to make an 08 skinpack on our 2007 mod until our 2008 mod gets done. I think F1RFT should be given more credit though. Whether people like MMG better, or F1RFT better, the fact is that we are two totally different mod groups, both working with the knowledge we have, both learning as we go along. MMG will offer a lot yes, but we also spent a long time checking every setting into the game, every aspect, every bit of coding, we asked questions to ISI, we asked questions to people who were knowledged about different parts of the game, and we studied the game hard to find new ways of doing things and implementing our work with new add ons. This is why it has taken us so long to do anything. We began in rF with the 1994 mod and 2006 mod. We cancelled 2006 to begin 2007 and because FSOne had already brought out a good 2006 mod using our Mclaren 2006 model, we didn't feel it necessary to waste more time on another 06 mod when we could do 07 mod. Now we've gone back to fix the 1994 and 1991 cars with all the experience we have learnt from the 2007 with the help of answers from knowledged people and ISI. This is why we have taken longer, from now, MMG mods should take a lot less time to get done hopefully, but thats just how we work. F1RFT is spending the time to make the models for an 08 mod. Whether its seen as the best or not, its their interpretation of the 08 season, and its their hard work that should be acknowledge, because they do it for the communities enjoyment. I think they are doing a great job considering they are building the models from scratch, and I think they should keep striving forward and keep progressing and improving, and soon their quality will improve also. Good luck F1RFT

I think F1RFT has kicked it up a notch this year with their 2008. I wonder how they do it so fast!
