IF you ask me both of these mods are illegal. So I don't care. I found numerous of traces of fsone in both. It is pretty obvious people, but you all choose to be stupid again.
They start making couple cars from scratch and you flip out and think they are forgiven and all is cool and they are legal again? I know my work when i see my work in code.
LEGAL MODS
FSONE MMG CTDP ISI
Doubtful
XtremeRacers
Illegal
F1RFT....
Only way for them to get legal is to start scratch build mod off isi or something, and use their own sounds.
I do wish them luck though. Of course they did the right thing starting in 08 with the custom car models, but it goes a long way from that.

Many of us are not stupid but confused and concerned. Many of us are also loyal to MMG and FSONE, especialy because of the incredibly detailed, passionate and dedicated work done and being done. Because of the fantastic communication and constant news updates you have made, the sim community feels connected to you and with a stake in all this as well.
Thank you Phil for the simple clarification.

The legality does not effect any of us public users and should not,,, any beef between moding groups should be kept behind closed doors as no matter what you say, the fact is, any hardcore f1 fan WILL download and test/play any new mod that comes out no matter how "legal" it is. Yeh its a bad thing stealing other peoples work (if this is stolen) but that should be sorted out between the modding groups etc. You can try put a certain mod in the named and shamed group or whatever but it will not stop f1 fans from downloading it. Ive always had mixed feeling about "illegal mods", i dont like the fact they steal work but im just such a big f1 fan. seeing the sport changing everyday and changing that into rfactor seeing newer mods all the time legal or not. I just got to try them

Well
I don't support that kind of stuff, ex specially not when they say it's their work 100 percent, and create an illusion to steal credit from others who put hours of hard work into something.
That is the point here. If they said yes this is from FSONE, we used it... or whatever other mod they took their stuff from, then it would of been a lot better. (still not right but better)

I totally disagree with this I know a lot of Hard core F1 fans that would also disagree with you on this.
By you saying this and using a so called illegal mod you are disrespecting the Modder who did all the work and is not getting credit for it. Why would you not support the people who did the oringenal work. You do relies that by doing so this leaves a very bad taste in a modders mouth so much so that they get pissed off and stop making the mods and if they do they just keep them to there selves.
I wonder what you would do or feel if you where at work and you came up with this great thing and the guy next to you stole this idea and said he came up with it. I have to beleave you would be one pissed off person.
With the respect to all modders if something is proven to be stolen then it should not be used. IMO
Now I am not saying that F1RFT is stolen but in looking at the pics and in the speed they did this work I really have my doubts that they did all this work from scratch. And if they did'int thats ok but with all do respect get permission from the owner and do it the right way give credit where credit is do.

Finally someone with a decent set of brains. I am an honest person, and well I tested the stuff and i know my work when i see them. I can prove them too. Just don't ask me too cause i dont want to bother wasting my time. This kind of stuff kills this game. You people wonder why FSONE took so long for a release. We had so much stress in the past year with issues like this, I almost hung my helmet and said screw it and move on my with my life doing somehting else. Phil

...any hardcore f1 fan WILL download and test/play any new mod that comes out no matter how "legal" it is... I do not agree with you chong. I hate suspicious products proposed by suspicious groups. I prefer to stick to a group who prouved us their work and experience without any doubt. Once the doubt is installed, it's difficult to trust such work! Especially when it's done so fast! I know loads of F1 sim fans who wouldn't use such products because they simply respect the work of honest group. That's why the legality is very important! It's so easy to copy & paste the work from others by changing some settings/file names etc... And it's easy also to see when it has been copied. Phil Sousa recognized himself some part of his code in such products. It's ridiculous to work like that. You will never gain credit when working like that! The problem comes of course from the fact that all mods are for free so without copyrights! But this is another story! I simply can't stand this! Just my 20 cents

You see, thats one of the problems with this community. I'm glad to see a lot of the posters here do not agree with supporting illegal work, but there are many that do and thats what kills mod groups.
To those who don't care, don't you realise that that mindset alone from you all is what kills mod groups? A group works hard for almost to over a year at times to create work for your enjoyment for free. They don't have to do it, but they do for your enjoyment. And then they see their work being used by others without permission, and those others acquiring all credit for work they took off the original creators, and that is ok? Sighs, this is why this community really needs a swift kick up the ass so people who support illegal mods can get their heads out of their asses long enough to smell the fresh air and have their brains begin understanding that supporting illegal mods is a no no.
Supporting illegal mods only leads to more mod groups who did the hard work disbanding and leaving modding because they get sick and tired of seeing their work used in such a way. Its not right and its not fair, and it shouldn't be allowed or supported.
Thats my 2 cents on this matter.
