I know, not the best thing for a new member to do is to make a new topic..Too bad some of the guest posters ruined it for those like me who don't want to register. Now that I have registered, I might show up a bit more here.
Anyway, do any of you know if it's possible to use a joystick to shift gears, but still use a steering wheel and pedals for the other controls?

yup, just put the buttons in control settings =) and welcome and why would it not be a best thing for a member to make a new topic. you have a question, you search, you cannot find it, you make a new topic

That's right, but at some other forums I'm at there are some of those testosterone filled types who immediately jump at new members who make a new topic.. Thanks for your answer, going to buy a new joystick then.

Yeh, or for other cars, say rally, you could use as a handbrake with g25

Gorgeous.
I'm gonna accelerate/brake/steering with the keyboard and and to use my Trust Joystick (bought 2 play FLIGHT SIMULATOR X) as a clutch... ;D
