Our league is running Silverstone this weekend, as we are following the 2007 FIA schedule and running the FSONE 2006 1.3 mod and hoping for some 2007 skins soon. We had such a good experience with Magny-Cours from the map pack, and very much anticipating the full release of the map pack.
Regardless, in practicing for Silverstone I also find it overall to be moderate, except for a couple of harsh hits that jolt my G25 pretty hard. One is right after pit exit. I've been messing with my FFB setting in an attempt to reduce that bump jolt without reducing the other effects. I can deal with a little cockpit shake, but the really sharp hits are distracting. I'll report here if I can discover any settings that would be useful while waiting for map pack v1.

"the track is very smooth, meaning the softest compounds are used, but the hot weather and graining inducing nature of the track mean that tyre management will be critical over the race weekend and particularly in the race"“The smooth surface and the fact that the circuit is not used that often means it’s a low grip circuit so we will bring the softest compounds in our range to provide the required grip."Kees van de Grint, Head of Track Engineering Operations Bridgestone on Hungaroring Jarno Trulli :"The Hungaroring is a track I like quite a lot. It is tight and twisty, and it is also quite a bumpy circuit, which makes it very challenging for the drivers."

for the US
I have personally driven the track, and i must say it was increadbly smooth. I have pictures if any of the developers need them when the time comes. but the US should be in the smoother section
