I'm a big fun of your mod. ...but yes, suspension is not what I like about the 1.8, as several other people have already pointed out the problem. Indeed, in most of rfactor bumpy tracks is almost imposible to race....properly. Hope you guys fix this for the 2007 release....I simply stick to 1.52 atm. Thx for the effort anyways

Important Note: Before Installing it is recommended that you delete these two items.fsone.rfm file (located in rFactor\rFm folder) FSONE_UIData folder (located in rFactor\UIData) I´ve done that. But now I can´t start FSone with the ModLauncher... There is no entry called "FSone" anymore. And if I put in the old (1.52) rfm-File the game don´t start... Please help me! Reinstall of 1.8-Update doesn´t help. There are no rfm-File...

in formula 1, and if you doubt me, read steve matchett's book chariot makers, he's stated that the average ride height any formula 1 team uses is 3.4-3.5cm front and about 6.2-6.4cm rear, so saying the car should go to 2.2 is a load of crap.
the packer level depends on the track yes, but at a track such as spa, they use high packers to aid in the suspension travels, while they would perfer NOT to have to use packers, its part of racing as every bit is a compromise.

its been 10 years since Machett was an F1 mechanic....how accurate is his information for now is doubtful...

Yes Derek is correct.
But because in rfactor the bump levels were custom designed by the mappers. We do not know if the maps even have correct bump levels. It is kinda ridiculous. You look at other games and their tracks and how much bump values they have. Some are far far less then rfactor.
If we do a map pack and reduce the bump levels.... This equals us required to have less packers and so on.... Hope everyone understands.
You cannot build a car mod for fitting a track.
Track makers should build the track for fitting the car.
This is why i keep stressing mods that is it is mandatory to have a map pack.

its been 10 years since Machett was an F1 mechanic....how accurate is his information for now is doubtful... in 2003 he was invited into the ferrari garage and still regularly talks with F1 personnel as of now, which is why he runs the RPM tech bit on the new RBR car throughout the season. not only that, but as far as technology wise, nothing has really changed since 03-04, the vast emphasis being placed on aerodynamics now instead of technical bits.

Should of taken an extra day to re-look things over. Anyway I have fixed the bumpy (bump travel) issue. It is much better now. (doesn't hop up and down much) I am now stopping all progress on FSONE06 and moving on to FSONE07 With Derek.
